Microsoft Goes Green-er

I came across this article on Ars Technica this morning and was happy to hear that Microsoft has made a commitment to become carbon neutral at the start of their 2013 fiscal year this July. While I’m not the biggest fan of some of Microsoft’s products I think this move for them will help further the efforts of other tech companies.

Improving the User Experience on the Web

Over the past year or so I’ve been collecting links to free UI elements, CSS frameworks, java script snippets, etc. Really anything that can be used to improve the user experience on a site. I’ll admit that I haven’t had a chance to try out all of these tools, but I thought it was worth posting either way.

Fair warning, several of these entries related to Bootstrap. If you haven’t taken a look at Bootstrap, please do. I’m really enjoying working with this CSS framework.

You Really Can Live in a Garage!

I just discovered a new blog called Shoebox Dwelling and I’m loving the content so far. In digging back through old posts, I came across this video of a couple guys that converted an old garage located on a small side street in Bordeaux France into an amazing home. At just under 441 square feet of interior living you’ll be amazed at how they make great use of small space!
